Cogmed is a 5-week online evidence-based training program.
With the help of a Cogmed Coach, you can tailor your practice to suit you and your family. The possibilities range from a low 20 minutes per day to an intensive 50-minute per day.
The training is carried out on computer, smartphone, or a tablet and it consists of a series of short exercises that challenge you to push the limits of your working memory. Doing the training can be fun and, at other times, difficult or frustrating.
The exercises are carefully designed to challenge your attention and working memory. As you get better with an exercise, its level of difficulty increases. The program is adaptive to ensure that your training is maintained at an optimal level of effort

I found it to be very valuable. At the start though it was hard and I didn’t think I would even finish. But as I continued it became a bit of a game for me, where each day I wanted to beat my score from the day before. Then sort of unexpectedly I began to notice that my ability to remember things was improving as well as my ability to focus and concentrate. Actually, one of the things I discovered is that I can memorise new cellphone numbers fairly easily, something I didn’t realise I could do! Since I finished the program, I would say that I’ve noticed a big improvement in my attention and concentration. I’ve stopped putting things off as much, which I used to do a lot. Also, I’ve learnt more about how my own memory and my own brain works. I think it’s a great program and I’m proud I’ve done it!
