Professional Development
To support ongoing lifelong professional learning or continuous professional development for mental health care practitioners we offer various learning opportunities.
Clinical Supervision
We offer comprehensive clinical supervision for the primary psychotherapy procedures of diagnosis or psychological assessment, which includes psychological or psychometric testing, and treatment or psychotherapy.
(Only intern-psychologists and psychologists)
Workshops
We provide in-depth training, in the form of workshops, relevant to the multi-disciplinary practice of mental health care, treatment, and rehabilitation. (Only mental health care practitioners, including psychologists, intern-psychologists, registered counsellors, psychiatrists, medical practitioners, occupational therapists, or social workers, who have been trained to provide prescribed mental health care, treatment, and rehabilitation services.)
Interactional Pattern Analysis (IPA)
Interactional Pattern Analysis was inspired and developed by Charl Vorster and it is a groundbreaking procedure for diagnosis in psychotherapy, altogether different from earlier approaches within the field of mental health. It provides a completely new approach, which is easy to apply and retains the essential uniqueness of the individual, and a very systematic and orderly procedure that takes the “guesswork” out of psychotherapy. This in-depth workshop is for Registered Counsellors, Social Workers, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, and Interns.
Interactional Couple Therapy
Interactional Couple therapy, which is based on the interactional approach, is an innovative, dynamic development in the field of marital and family therapy, quite unlike many other approaches. It offers a new lens, which is easily learned and a safe, non-threatening way for couples to relate, and at the same time a structured and systematic procedure that places the couple at the centre of the psychotherapeutic process.
Hypnosis | Hypnotherapy
A special area of interest of our training involves workshops on different aspects of multi-disciplinary Hypnosis | Hypnotherapy, including, for example, the utilization of hypnosis in daily practice, its utilization in the management of pain, and its utilization in the stimulation of hypermnesia or regression, namely, abnormally vivid or complete memory recall, to identify and understand antecedents of behaviour.
